What Are T’ai Chi & Qigong?

Qigong

Qigong is the foundation of T’ai Chi and focuses on gentle breathing, posture, movement, and awareness.

The practice encourages the flow of breath and energy through the body to help support both physical and mental wellbeing.

T’ai Chi

T’ai Chi serves as a natural bridge between physiotherapy and mindfulness that addresses both physical and mental aspects of health. Using slow, flowing movements combined with controlled breathing and body awareness.

Tai chi aligns with the biopsychosocial model of healthcare, addressing physical needs while supporting mental wellbeing.
